Angus Moncrieff

I’m an experienced composer and orchestrator for film, TV and theatre.

I write in a range of styles, from classical, through jazz, to electronic, and working with sounds made by machine or by people.

I’ve also arranged horns, strings or the entire band for various groups and artists (listen on soundcloud), and have written around 30 charts for big band.

Composition, Orchestration Credits

Additional composing/​orchestrating for brass and woodwinds on Dominik Scherrer’s score for this eight-part series, plus some featured trumpet playing.

The score was nominated for Best Television Soundtrack in the 2017 Ivor Novello awards.

Composed, produced and mixed 35-40 minutes of music for each of four episodes in series 3 (2009), combining software instruments and live musicians.

My track Dracorex is included on the official Primeval soundtrack album.

Orchestration, synth programming and trumpet playing for first two series (2007-08).

Wrote and produced music and sound design for plays performed in London, including Belfry by Billy Roche (2014), An Experiment with an Airpump by Shelagh Stephenson (2011) and Happy Everyday! by Jaan Tätte (2010).

Orchestration through all five series plus a bit of trumpet playing here and there.

Orchestration and notation on 16 films plus occasional trumpet playing.
