I’m a versatile trumpet player with many years’ professional recording and gigging experience; a great reader and improviser.
I lean towards more contemporary styles, such as soul, R&B, jazz, funk, latin, etc., plus I’ve played on many TV and film soundtracks.
I’ve played with festival favourites Molotov Jukebox since 2010.
We’ve toured the UK (2010-2018), Europe (2011-2017), Brazil (2011 & 2012) and Mexico (2015), and played at festivals including Glastonbury, Womad, Cambridge Folk Festival, Bestival, Iboga (Spain), Rock for People (Czech), Fusion (Germany), Secret Solstice (Iceland), Eurosonic (Netherlands) and Vive Latino (Mexico).
The band has a strong following, with 100K Facebook likes and millions of views on youtube.
Our albums Tropical Gypsy and Carnival Flower are both available on itunes etc.
I’ve played on numerous TV and film soundtracks, including the Ivor Novello-nominated series The Collection (Amazon, 2017) The City and The City (BBC, 2018), Ripper Street (BBC/Amazon, 2012-2016), Monroe (ITV, 2011-12), Primeval (ITV, 2007-09), Agatha Christie’s Marple (ITV, 2006-13) and Scenes of a Sexual Nature (feature film, 2006).
Most of my gigging tends to be in contemporary styles, such as soul, R&B, jazz, funk, latin, etc.
I’ve gigged and/or recorded with The O’Jays, Maxi Priest, Steve Brookstein, Eileen Hunter, Alex Mendham & His Orchestra, The Angus Moncrieff Quartet, and many others.
